If you have an airbag or SRS warning, this is indicating that the system has detected a fault. The only way to know what the fault is, is to read the fault code(s). We offer a tool that will read the codes as well as reset the system (of course, if the fault is still present, the warning and code will return). My pass seat in my 98 BMW 328i conv is stuck in the forward position and the seat back is stuck in the lower position
How do i get the seat out to repair it
If the seat absolutely cannot be moved, you will have to be creative in using wrenches and/or short sockets to access the four mounting bolts.
1987 325 before may of 87.
I replaced the rear rotors and brakes. replaced new anti rattle clip on both sides.
RATTLE on the drivers side
then replaced the caliper on driver side
HOW CAN I STOP THE RATTLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE, REAR.
I STILL GET THE RATTLE.
Does the rattle stop if you just slightly apply the brakes (very little pressure, just enough to move the caliper piston)? If so, it is indeed likely the pads rattling in the caliper. If not, something else is rattling.
If the pads are rattling (as noted above), common reasons could be that the spring clips on the inner pad (that clip into the recess in the piston) are broken or the outer anti-rattle clip is not installed (you noted that you have new anti-rattle clips, so this is not likely). Double check the inner pad clips.
I have a 1995 318ti. The problem I’m having with it is that the steering wheel is stuck in the locked position. The car will start, go into gear, and do everything else as it is supposed to. How can I remedy this problem short of towing it to a garage? Any suggestions will be well appreciated.
It would seem that the steering column lock is broken. Since the ignition key tumbler and the ignition switch appear to be working, the fault is likely within the column lock assembly itself. Unfortunately, this may not be an easy repair. Replacing the lock assembly requires full upper steering column dissassembly. In the case of a locked and broken lock assembly …. it may also require some “special” work to get the lock assembly removed.
