98 528i LED Tail Light Problem

After installing clear LED taillights on my 1998 528i, the instrument panel warning lights for the taillights came on. I checked all the lights and everything was working. I couldn’t figure it out, so I used your online “Ask Otto” form to get your recommendations. Your suspicion that the LED control boxes and harnesses were installed opposite their correct positions was dead-on. I double-checked the connections and found that the right harness was on the driver’s side and the left harness was on the passenger’s side, so I switched them. Now the taillights look and work great. You guys are good! Thanks for your help.
