This helps a lot. I would to see how to replace the rubber inserts of the wiper blades( for the 530i).
A wiper insert DIY is yet to come. In short; you simply pull the existing rubbers (with the steel spline runners) out of the blade holder, remove the splines and install them in the new rubber insert, then slide the inset and splines into the blade holder. Before installation, note that some applications will require trimming of the blade inserts. In this case, take note to trim the open end of the insert, not the end that is molded closed at the end of the spline insert slots.
